The first CR Debates were held on 27 March 2009 at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, in central London. Hosted by CorporateRegister.com and chaired by Paul Hohnen, these debates address significant, contentious issues in corporate responsibility (CR) reporting.
The debate themes were proposed by the invited attendees (120 leading figures in CR reporting drawn from the corporate, NGO, investment and media fields) and the final 5 chosen by online voting from an original list of over 50. The podcasts have been edited from their original length of around 50 minutes.
At the end of each debate the winner was judged by the audience using electronic voting - the winner in each debate can be identified by the underscore.
